About Us
Northern Threads first opened its doors in 2006 as a new home for the best contemporary and designer menswear. Since then we have twice been recognised by Drapers Magazine in their Top Inspiring Independents list, and we continue to look for new ways to grow and improve.
In 2024 we took the exciting step of moving on from the physical store that had been our home for almost 20 years, bringing our heritage, experience and unrivalled customer service exclusively to northernthreads.com. This move has given us the opportunity to offer an ever-expanding portfolio of genuine designer brands - including Stone Island, CP Company, BOSS and Fynch-Hatton - representing the best of classic and casual menswear, all sourced from authorised stockists.

ADVENTUROUS
FYNCH-HATTON
FYNCH-HATTON takes its name and spirit from Denys Finch Hatton, the British adventurer and safari guide whose free-spirited love of the African wilderness inspired Karen Blixen's Out of Africa. Founded in 1988, the brand channels that same sense of exploration into premium menswear built from quality fabrics with an understated, easy elegance. From outerwear and knitwear to shirting, every piece is designed for a modern wardrobe with quiet confidence at its core.

UNMISTAKABLE
BOSS
HUGO BOSS is one of the legendary names in European luxury fashion. Known for its sophisticated and contemporary collections BOSS menswear's premium status is demonstrated by its superior tailoring techniques and focus on quality and design. Presenting sharp, clean looks for a stylish individual with a fast-paced modern lifestyle BOSS is the perfect staple for every complete man's wardrobe.

EXPERIMENTAL
CP COMPANY
Founded in Bologna in 1971 by visionary designer Massimo Osti, CP COMPANY pioneered the garment-dyeing techniques that transformed how outerwear looks and feels. Its iconic Goggle jacket, born from research into military protective wear, remains one of menswear's most recognisable silhouettes. Rooted in relentless fabric innovation and function-first design, CP COMPANY continues to push technical outerwear forward without losing its distinctive character.

TECHNICAL
STONE ISLAND
Founded in 1982 by Massimo Osti, STONE ISLAND built its reputation on relentless fabric research - from stone-washed treatments to thermosensitive and reflective materials rarely seen in fashion before. The compass badge worn on the sleeve of every garment has become one of menswear's most instantly recognisable symbols. Combining military, nautical and sportswear influences, STONE ISLAND remains at the forefront of technical design more than four decades on.
